Data fields are stored in Squeezely as profile or event fields. Custom fields can be created to store special data.

 What is the difference between profile and event fields?

Profile fields, unlike event fields, override the values in the profile data. Two examples:

Event with profile field

A profile subscribes to the newsletter with the email address stan@email.nl. This will result in the following:

Event with event field

A profile is viewing a product. This produces the following:

  • Product array with id of viewed product

In Squeezely:

  • Add ViewContent event to event data from profile

    • In event the viewed product id is shown


 How can I see the difference between profile and event fields?
  • Go to Data and scroll to 'Fields

  • Check the column 'Profile field':

    • If the field has a green check mark it is a profile field

    • Does the field not have a green check mark, then it is an event field


Profile fields

Profile fields are stored with the event and overwrite the existing values of the profile data. The following fields are profile fields:

 Where can I check the profile fields in Squeezely?
  • Go to Data and scroll to 'Fields'.

  • The columns indicate the following:

    • Field name: the name of the field

    • Data type: the type of data of the field

    • Count: the number of fields in Squeezely

    • Custom field: a check mark if the field is a custom field

    • Profile field: this field is selected if it is a profile field

    • URL Parameter: a tick mark if the value is stored based on a parameter in a URL

Event fields

Event fields are stored with the event. The name of the event is also an event field. The following fields are event fields:

Number

Overrides the total value of the purchase, otherwise it is product price x number.

Product array

The product array also belongs to the event fields. Based on the product id in the product array, the link is made to the SKU of the product in Squeezely. In the product array the following fields can be sent along:
