Custom data fields can be created to store special event information.

Creating

Custom data fields can be created as follows:

  • Go to Data and scroll down

  • Click on 'Add custom field

...

  • Enter the following settings:

    • Name: the name of the field (Note: custom is already set)

    • Data type: the type of data in the field, for example Text, Number, Date

    • Profile custom field:

    • Contains PII: check this option when this field contains personal data

    • Fetch data from URL parameters: check this option when this value will be fetched from a url instead of from an event

  • Go to Data and scroll to 'Fields'.

  • At the bottom the (possible) custom fields are marked with a green tick in the 'custom field' column

(blue star) If ❓ Is the custom field is not in the overview (blue star) create ? ➡ Create the custom field

It is not possible to change the name of data fields or to delete them. Changing and deleting data fields will have provided consequences for the existing data in the Squeezely account.
